Connie Tingson Gatuz, Ph.D., has served as the Associate Vice President of Student Life since 2022. She oversees units and programs that support student development, community engagement, and cultural connections. She also launched a new university program focused on spiritual and religious life.
Before joining Michigan, Tingson Gatuz was Vice President for Student Affairs at Madonna University, where she helped create a master’s program in higher education administration. With more than 30 years in higher education, she is widely recognized for mentoring student leaders and advancing the success of underrepresented students and women in higher education.
Tingson Gatuz earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. from Michigan State University. Outside of work, she enjoys connecting with educational and leadership groups.
